The biggest football event of 2020/2021 and the first big event since covid all eyes where on ITV Sport. With the main set in a VR world and two travelling sets all designed by Paul Sudlow. Ply pre laminated flooring was laid in every location of the travelling sets. Hand rails and footers where put around all the set with LED inside them to make the pop out abit more. A white gloss set was put together and podiums attached. With light boxes throughout the glossed set and podiums the set defently stood out.
In 2019 Monkey See Scenery gave the Bet Fred studio an updated look. The set was designed by Paul Sudlow. The shiny Black gloss floor with a CNC rebate for LED strip lights had an amazing effect to give it a modern and stylish look. The reinforced flats gave good support to the continuous TV wall that went around the studio.
With ITV Sports biggest sporting event of 2019 approaching, Paul Sudlow asked us to make both the UK and travelling Japanese sets. The intricate builds and sharp finishes kept the team busy from start to finish. With the UK set installed, the team turned their hand to the sets heading out to Japan, making sure they had the same high level of finish. Three members of our rugby loving team left sunny London and went out to different cities in Japan to install the studio and pitch side set.
48 CNC blocks where made to create a 180 degree full immersive projection screen. Standing at 4 meters high and 30 meters wide it gave all participants the feeling they where really in the screen. There was a lot of processes in building the wall from making the blocks, installing them, filling, sanding and painting.
On BBC's Strictly Come Dancing movie week Catherine Land asked us to recreate the raft for the Disney film Moana. With the CNC ribs added, it give it great support and shape. The scenic painting team gave it all the realist effects it needed to look like real driftwood. Once the boat was completed they turned their attention to the sail, giving it the aged effect that it needed along with the iconic Moana logo. The team then loaded it, protected it and sent it to the studio in Elstree Borehamwood.
